Embarking on a journey that seamlessly blends athleticism and artistic creativity, Megan’s story unfolds from the courts to the camera lens. With a foundation rooted in competitive sports, particularly two decades dedicated to the dynamic game of volleyball, she earned the esteemed opportunity of a full scholarship as a Division 1 Volleyball player at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Journalism.
Throughout her collegiate career, she worked hard to learn and develop her craft with the production of video, photography, audio, and editing in Avid Composer, Adobe Premiere, and within the Creative Cloud. Her passion for storytelling through visual and written platforms lead her to put in many extra hours to cultivate and build her skill set and craft.
Not only did Megan put in work on the court, she also excelled off of it. As a strong leader,  she was nominated to represent the Student-Athletes in her Journalism and Mass Communication Department (JOMC) where she served as an Ambassador on the student council. In this role she planned, provided, and exchanged ideas on implementing programs in the best interest of the students within her department.
Her pride in being an Aggie showed in her work both behind and in front of the camera for A&T’s news show, Aggie News & Views. Megan created content and produced multiple packages for the show, in addition to being a sports anchor on the show. In addition to the Aggie News & Views, Megan was also a part of the school newspaper, The Register. As a multimedia specialist, she contributed her multimedia skills to produce creative content for the online and web presence of the paper. Megan also used those multimedia skills and experience to produce content, video packages, and news articles for The Blue & Gold Post, which covered official events within the school and community.
During this time, she had also taken on two internships that helped her to enhance and develop her craft and skill set. One internship at Young Favour Productions, where she shot and produced content for clients with her audio, video, and creative production skills. In addition to this, she also interned at Greensboro Television Network. As a multimedia intern, she assisted producers on shoots, edited and produced videos, as well as worked in the studio and on live productions.
In the fall of 2018, she was selected and nominated by her school to represent as a student-athlete at the Careers in Football Forum, which was put on by the NFL in Atlanta, Georgia. As one of the two chosen student-athletes from A&T, this was an outstanding way to network, advance her skill set, and gain experience as she presented a group case study to a panel of NFL and Club Executives.
After this event, Megan set her goals even higher, she applied and was chosen to be an intern for the NFL on Radio Row and at the Super Bowl, for Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, Georgia in February 2019. She gained valuable experience during this internship and built meaningful business connections and relationships. In her role, she worked with NFL players as well as NFL Executives while navigating the media and press of both Radio Row and the Super Bowl. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity continued to expand Megan’s horizons within her career, allowing her to strive to set her goals high and continue to reach them.
A transformative moment transpired during her internship with the NFL at the 53rd Super Bowl, sparking the inception of Heart Work Media, a collaborative media venture with NFL Legend, Cameron Lynch. Upon her graduation, her roles encompassed directing, creative producing, videography, photography, and editing. Notable clients included the NFL, Zapier, and Vertimax. Outside of these ventures, Megan created her own production company, MWM Productions, where she built her clientele and portfolio in freelance and contract capacities. She attended major events including Super Bowl LVIII and LIV, Pro Bowl and the 2020 NFL Combine as credentialed media.
In 2022 her journey took an International turn with the pursuit of a Master's degree in Film and Television Production at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, England, facilitated by yet another full athletic scholarship. Simultaneously, as an athlete for her University, she proudly led her team to claim the title of National Champions Trophy at Bucs Big Wednesday in March of 2023.

In her time as a Master’s student, she worked on many projects in the role of a filmmaker, creative producer, director, editor, and photographer, both in and outside of her curriculum. Megan led her Master’s class team as a director and producer for a KODAK Nahemi Student Film Competition, shot on 16mm film. Outside of her curriculum, Megan expanded her film knowledge and experience by attending well-known festivals including Cannes Film Festival and London Film Festival.
After completing her Master’s in Film & Television Production in Fall 2023, Megan joined The Cambridge Film Festival as a Festival Assistant.
